Positive: Beautiful setting, lovely breakfasts

Negative: Room are dark, very poor lighting and very smelly. Drains blocked and smelling badly. Heating didn't work

Outside: Plenty of wonderful local sights

Check out the trips the hotel has on offer but watch out for the pre-arranged visits to certain co-operatives and restaurant recommendations.

Positive: Great value for money given the location which is convenient for the main square, the souks, the Bahia Palace, the Majorelle Gardens and the Nouvelle Ville. Also, a big bus station ia very close. The room was serviced every day with clean sheets, plenty of towels and lots of loo rolls! The bed was very comfortable, too. There's a great view from the roof terrace where breakfast is served.

Negative: The room was very dark and could have done with a central light as well as the wall lights although the bathroom was well lit. Also, as the hotel is situated across the road from arguabley the largest mosque in North Africa it's advisable to ask for a quiet room at the back if possible. Plus, the hotel is on one of the busiest roads in Marrakesh but I liked that as there was so much to see.

Outside: Go to the main square 5 minutes walk away in the late afternoon when the magicians. acrobats, fortune tellers, story tellers and, snake charmers and musicians are doing their stuff, having explored the souks in the morning. For hassle free shopping go to the Ensemble Artisanal 5 minutes up the road towards Nouville Ville for fixed price good quality hand made jewellery, leather goods etc. or catch the no.1 bus to Place de la Liberte for lovely shops and restaurants.

Positive: There is nothing positive about this hotel except its near proximity to Jemaa Fina square.

Negative: This not a hotel. It is more like a correctional borstal. The rooms are dark and dingy , the staff is unhelpful. Very unclean. I bear with it until our room had a cokroach invasion. We complained to the staff and their answer was to give a can of cokroach killer spray. We eventually booked another hotel to keep away from this hell hole. It ditroyed our enjoyment of an otherwise pleaseant city. Do not be a cheap skate like me and pay a little bit more to get a real hotel. Do not go there unless you have some sins you want to repent from.

Outside: There are plenty of things to do near this borstal , as it is quite central.

Positive: good location, very near to the main souk and public transportation. Including hop-on hop off tourist bus. Room itself is ok, basic necessities are there. 1 bed and small table.

Negative: It's dimly lit, bathroom was filthy. Toilet did not flush properly and it was leaking. The water in the shower stall did not drain, and a stench was coming out from somewhere in the bathroom.

Positive: Value for money accommodation two minutes walk to the Medina and sited opposite to the mosque.Public gardens nearby. Traffic and people noise is not intrusive. The hotel is old but is clean. Food is good and reasonably priced.

Overall, for a short stay and for the price paid, the hotel was adequate. Would have liked the manager to be a little more helpful, everything was a chore, but the porters were helpful and friendly. Taxis seem to charge what they like, but for a budget holiday it was fine and we had a fab time.

Positive: The only positive would be the bed was clean

Negative: very dark room, very hot but air conditioning was working. Bathroom horrible, toilet shakey, bath old. First and second day had no hot water for a shower, then rest of stay it was hot. Breakfast was unimpressive, just bread rolls and yogurt. Plenty of orange juice, tea and coffee, but the terrace was great lovely views over the mosque.

Outside: Very central, just a short walk to the square and all the action.

nice hotel...very basic but very close to everything so ideal placed to explore the city.

I thought for the money it was pretty good. We got a quiet room at the back that may have helped but you couldn't ask for a better view from the breakfast terrace and a good breakfast compared to others, no problems booking in, great location. I read some bad reviews about this place, but I frankly don't know what they are taliking about, I thought it was fine.

The hotel was actually very traditionally and beautifully morrocan, our room was outstanding for the monay we had paid. Clean white starched bedlinen and bath towels, powerful warm shower etc The staff at the reception desk speak many languages are are a source of information especially for letting you know how much you should be paying for taxis!! The bus to and from the airport stops right outside the hotel, its so cheap far cheaper than taxis use it for transfer's and sight seeing - number L19. Ate traditional morrocan food in the restaurant upstairs from the hotel, excellent quality and felt really assured in the fact that ithe meat was thoroughly cooked. Even used room service for pizza and coke for minimum money - what luxury :)
