Positive: Central location. Clean but basic rooms. Good views over Placa Reial.

Negative: On arrival the staff were not very friendly. Hardly even bothering to speak to us or give us any additonal information about the hotel. Luckily I'd stayed at the hotel before so knew where everything was etc.

Positive: The location is good!

Negative: This was one of my most unpleasant hotel stays ever! The reviews I had read and the images given when booking are not accurate at all! The walls are paper thin between rooms. It is difficult to get any rest as the noise between rooms is constantly audible to the point that you can here every word of various conversations. The lights in our original room didn't work, so we were moved to another room at 1am!!! The beds were old and lumpy. Sheets had holes in them and I shudder to think when last the blankets were cleaned. On complaint to the receptionist, I was told she would speak to the manager, who never followed up on our dissatisfaction.

Positive: I found our room to be clean which is very important. The hotel rooms are different than we are use to in Canada. They are much smaller.

Negative: I thought that the hotel could have provided a hairdryer since the american hairdryers do not work in Europe without an adapter. I also think it would be a good idea to provide shampoo for the customers.

Outside: The location of the hotel is very good. However, there was a lot of noise during the night from one of the restaurants nearby.
