Positive: Well, its a really cheap hotel with a good location ( next to Termini station).
Negative: Breakfast was poor. Only bread, croisants and jam. Sometimes coffee was cold.

Positive: Friendly staff on the desk. Clean. Good position near train station, metro with many restaurants nearby.
Negative: Very small bathroom with drain smell. Noisy - not from traffic or street noise but voises in hotel. Lift broke down both days we were there - we were on the 4th floor.
Outside: Eating!

This was a dreadful experience - the evaluation rating of one is generous. We checked into this hotel at 1pm and checked out by 10pm after finding a much better alternative. This hotel was a complete affront to us considering the money paid and the quality of service/accommodation with which we were met: tiny toom, filthy bathroom, broken toilet seat, faulty light fixtures, unprofessional reception (at no point was a refund offered). We wholeheartedly would not recommend this to anyone (even though this must be indicated on the questionnaire). It was a waste of time and money and a stressful way to begin a long awaited holiday.

Positive: Antonio the reception manager, was friendly, polite and very helpful. He was a real gem! Also, you are right in the heart of Rome, so can walk everywhere.
Negative: The first room we were allocated 320, was dirty, cramped, the shower was too small and the door fell off as I tried to close it. The view from the window was filthy walls, and a broken, rusty window blind. There was only enough room between the side of the bed and the wardrobe for you to walk sideways as it was about 6 inches wide making hanging clothes nigh on impossible. The black mini bar/fridge looked like a disused rabbit-hutch on the middle of the wall! There was a folded piece of paper wedged into the pull down flap to stop the door dropping! There was mould on the shower walls and ceiling, and all around the bottom of the cubicle. It was disgusting! We asked to be moved, and they agreed to let us have room 314. Oh! I meant to say that Room 320 is right next to the lift shaft, so whenever anyone calls the lift, you hear a 'Bing-Bong' sound, like 'Avon calling'!! In other words, you couldn't sleep. When we went to breakfast, the coffee machine had run out, there was no cold milk left or orange juice, and the waitress was too busy chatting to a friend upstairs to bother with her duties. It was only when I pointed it out that she sprang into action, and made me a tepid cup of coffee! The small restaurant has a mixture of black chairs, and white, plastic garden chairs. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
