Positive: Efficient, friendly reception. Excellent breakfast. Large airy room with very comfortable beds. Very well placed for buses and ferry to Valletta. Superb Asian restaurant.

Negative: Shower had no screen or curtain. Could not fill bath from tap, had to use shower. There did not appear to be any thermostatic control on shower and water was dangerously hot.

Outside: Easy walk to Valletta Ferry and tour buses stopped nearby. Close to promenade and shops. Good supermarket close by.

Positive: Great location, great facilities. Very relaxed hotel, a good place to chill out. Perhaps not quite up to 5 star standards but for the price we paid it was exceptional value. We were sad to leave!

Positive: Great views from our room and the terrace, very good restaurant on the last floor. Nice pool and great Wellness Studio!

Negative: Staff at the reception could have been a little bit more polite for 5*. But was OK.

Outside: Shopping, eating and sightseeing, everything is really closeby.

Positive: The food was good and the hotel was clean and the bedrooms of good size The staff were great and the free parking was a plus as parking is a problem in Malta

Negative: The leisure area was very small and cramped only room for 2 persons at a time in the steam room (which was closed the whole week I was there) and in the sauna it was very cramped. I believed for 5 stars it would be bigger. The inside pool was also small There was also a lack of hot water around 6-7pm

Positive: Superior rooms really are - very good size and smartly decorated.

Outside: Scuba dive Shopping Buses to rest of the island Bars, restaurants People watching!

Positive: Very well located in the center of Sliema with splendid sea and city views from the rooms on the higher floors. Welcoming staff, very clean and beautiful rooms.

Negative: Slightly smaller than other 5 stars in Malta.

Outside: Shopping, nautical activities

Positive: Lots of positives - it is a beautifully designed, new hotel with an excellent restaurant on the top floor together with great views. We enjoyed our stay very much, and think the 5-stars are warranted for a Malta hotel. The double bed was definitely the most comfortable I have ever slept in, in a hotel. We loved the infinity swimming pool on the roof, with loungers and great service. I would definitely go back again - excellent hotel and great value for money.

Negative: Check-in was a disaster. We arrived at noon after a long journey, and knew that we would probably have to wait until the official 2 pm check in time. However, the staff led us to believe that the room would be ready 'soon', and well before 2 pm so we waited patiently - for 3 hours! We were eventually offered a room at 3pm - with no explanation for the delay. Not happy.

Outside: Not much apart from some random shops - the sea is about 5 mins away, and Valetta about 25 mins by bus.

This hotel is still quite new and is working to justify the claimed 5 stars.

Anonymous Reviewed March 27, 2008

Although the hotel is 5 star, some of the facilties have not yet been completed. The surrounding area and hotel room was noisy. In the room you can constantly hear chairs being moved around across tiled floors, this starts from early morning and goes on throughout the day and into the evening.
