FOR THOES OF YOU WHO HOLIDAY IN SPAIN, DONT EXPECT 3 STAR TO BE THE SAME.YOU NEED TO BOOK 5 OR A GOOD 4. OUR HOTEL WAS 4, BUT REALLY A 2 1/2 COMPARED WITH SPAIN. IF YOU LIKE HISTORY, MALTA IS THE PLACE FOR YOU, NOT REALLY FOR KIDS. BEER AND FOOD WAS MUCH CHEAPER THAN SPAIN BUT CLOTHS MORE EXPENSIVE.
Positive: The staff are very kneen to help. especialy CHARLIE. ANY PROBLEMS ASK FOR CHARLIE.Reasonably Good value for the money. The hotel was clean, but because much of the decor was a little old and worn it gave the apperance it was worse thah it was.
Negative: More suited to couples and older people. Not recomended for families who want to use the facilities in the hotle, but ok to be used as a base.Sun beds in muck need of a good wash.
Outside: open top bus picks up near the the hotle. This is a must. We paid 15 euros to go on the north tour, it was a hop on,hop off system.and a FREE harbour boat trip that you could take any time. This was a one and a half hour trip with no strings attached. close to the public bus yard where busses run frequently.where the fair is only half a euro anywhere. Close to bars and shops. Location is fine, but view from balcony is not great.CASINO VERY CLOSE
