Sitting on the boardwalk in front of the sea, this cosy hotel places its guests at only 50 metres from the beautiful sandy beach and a 10-minute walk from the railway station and the city centre. This ideal location makes the venue a great place for a fun family holiday on Catalonia's Costa Maresme. Guests are even offered free shuttle service to the other hotels of the chain, so they can make full use of all the services and facilities that they offer, but this in no way means that one should have to travel to anywhere in order to have a good time. The venue boasts a splendid outdoor swimming pool where one can relax in privacy, while the proximity to the beach not only allows for working on that perfect tan on the sand, but also provides the opportunity to perform a variety of water sports. The little guests can enjoy themselves in the mini club or in their own children's' playground.
PLANAMAR HOTEL? MAYBE BETTER ALCATRAZ!!! Reviewed June 23, 2009
Positive: THE SITUATION IS GOOD AND THE SWIMMING POOL IS WELL ORIENTATED
Negative: THE HOTEL APPARENTLY HAS 3 STARS. I WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT AWARDING IT EVEN 1. THE ROOMS ARE VERY OLD, THE BEDS ARE WHAT YOU MIGHT FIND THROWN AWAY IN THE STREET. THE BED LINEN WAS OLD AND WORN OUT AND THE EIDERDOWN LOOKKED AND SMELLED DIRTY. THERE IS NO LIGHT IN THE ROOMS (THEY ARE VERY DARK AND NO LAMPS) IMPOSSIBLE TO READ A BOOK IN THE EVENING OR WRITE A LETTER. I HAD TO GET MY ROOM CHANGED AND BELEIVE ME IT WAS NOT MUCH BETTER. THERE ARE NO ELECTRICAL SOCKETS, ONLY IN THE BATHROOM (WHICH FOR A LAPTOP OR MOBILE PHONE IS A NO, NO) OR HIDDEN BEHIND THE FRIDGE WHICH DOESN'T WORK . THE MAN ON RECEPTION DURING THE DAY WAS RUDE AND RELUCTANT TO HELP IN ANYWAY AT ALL. THE DINING ROOM WAS MORE LIKE AN ARMY BARRCKS, ROWS OF TABLES ALL TOGETHER AND THE LUNCH AND DINNER WERE LACKING IN QUALITY AND SELECTION. I WOULD ONLY USE THIS HOTEL AGAIN IF MY ONLY OTHER OPTION WERE TO SLEEP IN THE STREET, AND EVEN THEN I MIGHT THINK TWICE ABOUT THAT!
Outside: NICE TOWN WITH LOTS OF SHOPS FOR TOURISTS. A GREAT KARAOKE BAR NEARBY CALLED THE ROBIN HOOD
