Waavo has completed an NDC integration with airBaltic, bringing the carrier's fare families, baggage, seats and ancillaries into our flights and dynamic packaging systems. Clients can sell airBaltic content through B2B and B2C engines, or embed it by iFrame or API.
We are proud to announce that Waavo has successfully completed an NDC (New Distribution Capability) integration with airBaltic, the leading airline in the Baltic region. This means that our clients can now access real-time, rich content directly from airBaltic via Waavo s flights and dynamic packaging systems.
What this means for travel professionals
With this integration, Waavo clients can:
- Search and book airBaltic flights through our B2B and B2C engines
- Access full fare families, baggage options, seat selection, and ancillaries
- Include airBaltic flights in dynamic packages (e.g., flight + hotel combinations)
- Embed airBaltic content into their websites via iFrame or API, fully automated
The content arrives as an offer, not as a cached fare
The practical difference is where the offer is constructed. Price, availability and the ancillary catalogue come from the carrier at request time, so what the agent or the traveller sees is what the airline is prepared to sell at that moment. Fare families and their conditions travel with the offer rather than being reassembled downstream, which removes a familiar source of display mismatch between what was quoted and what was ticketed.
For dynamic packaging the timing matters more than the richness. A package priced from stale flight inventory erodes margin at the point where it is hardest to recover, because the accommodation and ancillary components have already been committed to a single price. Pulling the flight component live keeps that exposure inside the window the carrier itself defines. Offers returned over NDC are valid only for a period, so a booking flow should treat expiry as a normal state to be handled and re-quoted, not as an error to be surfaced to the customer.
Ancillaries sit in the same response as the flight
Seats, bags and the rest of the unbundled catalogue are presented alongside the flight rather than bolted on after the fact. Where in the journey those items are offered is a commercial decision for each of our clients, but the attach-rate economics only work if the catalogue is available at the point of sale in the first place. What is offered and what can be serviced afterwards depends on the carrier s own implementation and on the agreement in place.
